Pinnacle Studio 8

I'm thinking about getting Pinnacle Studio 8. It's about $99.99 at Best Buy. Right now I've got Ulead® VideoStudio™ 6 and it's not working worth anything. I've been giving it a lot of tries and it's not performing. Good thing it was free with my video capture device. For some reason it messes up with mpegs?
